These are the things we believe:
- The Bible is the inspired Word
of God and is historically and scientifically accurate throughout.
- Nature reveals the Creator's handiwork.
The study of the natural world by means of the scientific method
will help us understand the created order.
- Plants, animals and man were specifically
created as independent functional units by God in six normal,
consecutive days.
- The Genesis Flood was a historical,
global event.
- The genealogies recorded in Scripture
limit the maximum age of the earth to less than 10,000 years.
- Death was introduced by the fall
of Adam and Eve, making salvation necessary through the redemptive
work of Jesus Christ.

Our position distinguishes us from many other Christian
organizations, who either openly accept evolution, and therefore
typically discount the rest of the Scriptures as well, or they believe
that "The history in Genesis is not important - the Gospel
is what counts!"
We are convinced that the Bible's historical reporting
is more accurate than are competing sources. Besides that,
if we reject its historical claims because they describe a supernatural origin
of the universe and life, it is inconsistent to believe
in a supernatural Christ, Who claimed that -
- The Old Testament Scriptures predicted details
of His life (i.e., Mat. 26:54, Mark 15:28, Luke 24:27, John 5:39)
- He was the Son of God (throughout the Gospel of
John, especially)
- He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1 and Luke 2)
- He was sinless (John 8:46)
- He had authority to forgive sins (Mark 2:1-12)
- He would be raised from the dead on the third day
(Luke 9:21-22)
Anyone who makes claims like these is either God,
or crazy, or a liar, or a demoniac! As C.S. Lewis said, "...don't
give us any patronizing nonsense about His being a good man and
a great moral teacher! He hasn't left that alternative open to us!" He's
either the supernatural Son of God, and knows what He's talking
about - or He's not anything He claimed to be!
